Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Best Phone Numbers (“we,” “us,” or “our”) at bestphonenumbers.com, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use our services.

These Terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of the website.


Services Provided

Best Phone Numbers operates as a phone number marketplace. We facilitate the sale and lease of:

  • Local area code phone numbers
  • Toll-free phone numbers (including 800, 888, 877, 866, 855, 844, 833)
  • Vanity phone numbers (numbers that spell words or phrases)

What We Do

  • Offer phone numbers for purchase or lease
  • Assist with porting phone numbers to your chosen carrier
  • Facilitate number transfer, assignment, or activation

What We Do Not Do

  • We do NOT provide phone service or carrier services
  • We do NOT host, route, forward, or manage phone numbers after sale or lease
  • We do NOT access, monitor, or store calls, texts, or voicemails
  • We do NOT control the phone number once ported to your carrier

Carrier services are provided entirely by third-party telecommunications providers.

“Best Phone Numbers is not a Responsible Organization (RespOrg) and does not retain subscriber-of-record status for any phone number sold or leased.”


Number Ownership and Porting

Purchased Numbers (One-Time Purchase)

When you purchase a phone number:

  1. You obtain ownership rights to the number, subject to carrier and regulatory rules
  2. We initiate porting to your selected carrier
  3. You may port the number to other carriers at your discretion
  4. You are responsible for all ongoing carrier service fees

Ownership is subject to FCC, NANPA, and carrier policies.


Leased Numbers (Subscription Model)

For numbers offered on a lease basis:

  1. Monthly lease payments are required to maintain use
  2. Ownership remains with the original holder
  3. Lease provides exclusive use, not ownership
  4. Early termination forfeits remaining lease value
  5. Lease terms are disclosed on the number listing

Porting Process

  • Typical porting timeframe: 1–7 business days (some carriers may take longer)
  • Accurate carrier information is required from you
  • Brief service interruptions may occur during porting
  • Carrier delays or rejections are outside our control

You acknowledge that porting timelines and outcomes are dependent on third-party carriers.


Pricing and Payment

Pricing

  • Prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD)
  • Purchase prices are one-time fees; lease prices are recurring
  • Carrier service fees are not included
  • Pricing may change, but confirmed orders are honored

Payment Terms

  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Payment must be completed before porting begins
  • We do not store payment card information
  • All sales are final, subject to the Refund Policy below

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Purchased Numbers

  • Before porting begins: Full refund within 24 hours
  • After porting begins: No refunds
  • After porting completes: No refunds

Leased Numbers

  • Before porting begins: Full refund within 48 hours
  • After porting: No refunds for the current billing cycle
  • Cancellation: Effective at the end of the billing period

Non-Refundable Circumstances

  • Number successfully ported
  • Incorrect information provided by customer
  • Carrier rejection or delay
  • Change of mind after porting initiation

Discretionary Exceptions

We may issue refunds or credits at our sole discretion for:

  • Errors caused by us
  • Number unavailability due to our error
  • Failure to complete porting caused by us (not carriers)

Number Availability and Accuracy

  • Inventory availability is dynamic
  • Orders are confirmed only after availability verification
  • If a number becomes unavailable after purchase, we will offer:
    • A full refund, or
    • A comparable replacement number

Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Respond promptly to porting requests
  • Maintain carrier service after porting
  • Use phone numbers lawfully and ethically
  • Comply with FCC, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and carrier rules
  • Avoid prohibited or abusive uses

Prohibited Uses

You may not use phone numbers for:

  • Spam or unsolicited communications
  • Robocalls without proper consent
  • Fraud, phishing, or deceptive practices
  • Harassment or impersonation
  • Any unlawful or regulated activity

Violations may result in termination, reporting to carriers, and legal action.


Warranties and Disclaimers

Limited Warranty

We warrant that:

  • Numbers offered are legitimate and transferable
  • We will make reasonable efforts to complete porting

No Warranty

We make no warranties regarding:

  • Carrier service quality
  • Porting timelines
  • Call or message delivery
  • Continued availability of numbers

Disclaimer

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.


Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Liability is limited to amounts paid to us
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages
  • We are not responsible for carrier failures or delays
  • We are not responsible for lost revenue or data

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from:

  • Your use of a phone number
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of laws or regulations
  • Your misuse of telecommunications services

Telecommunications Regulations

Phone numbers are governed by:

  • FCC regulations
  • NANPA rules
  • Carrier policies
  • Applicable state and federal laws

You are responsible for compliance after porting.


Number Reclamation

Carriers may reclaim numbers that are:

  • Not activated promptly
  • Unused for extended periods
  • Subject to regulatory action

We are not responsible for carrier reclamation due to non-use.


Privacy

Your use of our services is subject to our
Privacy Policy.


Intellectual Property

  • Website content and database structure are proprietary
  • Phone numbers themselves are not intellectual property
  • Scraping or copying our inventory is prohibited

Severability
